BBDMI is a digital musical instrument that makes music from the electrical activity of muscles (EMG) and the brain (EEG). It is funded by the ANR and led by Anne Sèdes at MSH Paris Nord.

I developed its interactive modular system in Max: modules for acquiring, processing and mapping EMG and EEG signals, from the EAVI board, to sound synthesis and control in real time. The system combines signal analysis with interactive machine learning, so users can explore and refine how body signals map to sound. Example patches, documentation and source code are in the open repository.
